1. A bank that underwrites a financing on the borrower’s behalf either alone or with others as co-underwriter.
2. A syndicate title for a mandated lead arranger during the sub-underwriting phase of primary syndication, in exchange for a corresponding portion of the underwriting spread and a closing fee as well as league table status and prominent placement on all marketing materials relating to the facilities.
